UKRANIAN MUSIC FESTIVAL
IN ZHITOMIR 2010
April 12- 18 in honor of the
Great Ukrainian Composer Alexander Stasiuk
The Music Festival was established by Musicologist Irina Kopot and former students of Alexander Stasiuk: Sergei Zhukov, Olga Harris, Yevgeniy Stasuik, Dimitry Stasuik and Alexander Chodokovsky. The Zhitomir Department of Culture has given its support the festival from the beginning.
The first Festival was in the Spring of 2009. The second Ukrainian Music Festival with the support of the Government promises to be much bigger and explore more foreign composers and performers.
The organizers of the festival expect performances from America, Austria, Holland, Israel, Poland, Russia and Ukrain. The music will be performed by Alexander Stasiuk and his students. It will have concerts by of world’s modern music, jazz music and spiritual music.
